Ogaden: the Imminent Victory of Abyssinia´s Tyrannized Somalis

Dr. Muhammad Shamsaddin Megalommatis

March 13, 2008

In an earlier article we established a parallel between the long tyrannized and recently recognized as independent Kosovo and the African High Place of Martyrdom, the occupied territory of Western Somalia, Ogaden.

Already known as Abyssinia´s Darfur, Ogaden has been mercilessly bombarded in 2007 by the aircraft of the criminal Neo-Nazi dictator of Abyssinia Meles Zenawi; the act is similar to practices of Saddam Hussein in Iraq, and to policies of Omar Bashir in Sudan´s Darfur.

The vast province (ca. 400000 km2) is home to ca. 5 million Somali Muslims, who have been characterized by their tolerant attitude and rejection of the strict, conservative and extremist versions of Islam that prevail in other parts of the Middle East – and particularly in countries that have idiotically been considered as US-friendly for too long.

The Neo-Nazi, racist policies implemented in Ogaden by Africa´s cruelest dictator Zenawi created a great number of refugees who spread in neighboring Djibouti, Yemen, Somalia and Kenya. Those who unluckily reached the secessionist, unrecognized state of Somaliland were met with hatred and discrimination, as the treacherous and unrepresentative leadership of Hargeysa pursues policies of subservience toward the murderous Abyssinian tyrant Zenawi, and racial hatred and rancor against the Ogadeni Somalis.

The barbaric war acts perpetrated by the Tigray and Amhara Abyssinian soldiers in Ogaden are colonial of nature and racist of character. Zenawi´s soldiers have no right to stay in Ogaden even for a second, as the indigenous population never accepted the disreputable colonial transfer of Ogaden from the departing British to the barbaric and criminal Amhara Abyssinian pseudo-king Haile Selassie.

Thousands desert the tribal pseudo-national army of ´Ethiopia´

The Abyssinian dictator Zenawi´s tribal thugs shamefully impersonate a national army. In fact, they are a tribal Amhara and Tigray army ready to commit any genocidal act against the outright majority of the inhabitants of Abyssinia.

Contrarily to them, the long oppressed Oromos, Afars, Sidamas, Shekachos, Kaffas, Kambatas, Anuak, Agaws and Wolayitas love the Ogadenis, and do not want to harm them by executing the tribal Amhara and Tigray military orders. They all do their best to desert the tribal Amhara and Tigray army that is just a tool of Neo-Nazi oppression used against all the oppressed nations of Abyssinia.

Ethiopia´: not permissible for the US interests

The US biased policies in the Horn of Africa region have therefore to change immediately, as they only help promote an unnecessary anti-Americanism, and push Ogadenis and all the Muslims of Abyssinia (already a majority in the collapsing country) to Islamic extremism.

The American administration should take seriously into consideration the fact that prolonging the Ogaden Genocide contributes directly to utter radicalization of the Eastern African Muslims.

It will be tragic for America´s interests in Africa, if the Eastern African Muslims conclude that, for the US Administration, a Muslim state in Europe is permissible, whereas in Africa it is not….

The long shadow of Kosovo covers these days the entire Horn of Africa. People believe that, similarly with the US policies in the Balkans, America must show its humanist and democratic face in the case of Ogaden.

In the same way Milosevic´s Yugoslavia was not sustainable in the 3rd millennium, Zenawi´s Abyssinia – fallaciously re-baptized as ´Ethiopia´ – is not a permissible state for our times.

Remove Jendayi Frazer from the State Department!

In the same way America did not turn its back to the suffering Albanian Kosovars, but did help them very energetically, the present administration must deny Jendayi Frazer´s shameless and discriminatory rhetoric that Ogaden is a problem for ´Ethiopia´ to solve.

A solution for Kosova, according to the Neo-Nazi Milosevic ideology, would imply the completion of ethnic cleansing and the massacre of all Albanian Kosovars who would not go away. America did not accept this ´logic´.

A solution for Ogaden, according to the Neo-Nazi Zenawi policy, means the physical extermination of Ogaden´s total population and the brutal evacuation of all those who may be able to survive the well-planned genocide. America cannot afford to tolerate the presence of a single ´Ethiopian´ soldier on Ogaden´s territory.

The Ogaden National Liberation Front

In the same way the Kosova Liberation Army contributed to the rightful defense of the Albanian Kosovars, the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) represents the totality of the oppressed Ogadeni Somalis and leads the Martyred Nation to Freedom and Formal Independence.

Over the past weeks, the ONLF marked several strategic successes in Ogaden, and these recent victories come as justification of their Just and Noble National Struggle. A smile of Hope appears on the dry, bitter lips of the Ogadenis.

A summarized presentation of these successes was made available by the Abyssinian opposition Radio Freedom audio website on 8 March, and it was first published by the ONLF website (http://www.ogaden.com/rxnws120308.htm).

We republish it here integrally, believing that those who urgently need a careful reading of this great news are (not the Ogadenis but) the authorities of the State Department, and the US administration in its entirety.

For the abandoned Ogadenis a great and illustrious sunrise will soon bring Freedom and Independence, Dignity and Justice.

For America, a contribution to Ogaden´s liberation will herald the atonement for the unjust disregard for the Ogadenis´ long lasted grief.
